DESCRIPTION
FOAMLEV is a thin-layer thermal insulating coating based on lime. It consists of
expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads and special additives, offering continuous insulation
without the need for auxiliary anchors.
APPLICATION
Recommended for:
• Seamless thermal correction, avoiding thermal bridges.
• Waterproofing* and protection on roofs, terraces and walls with leakage issues.
• Rooms and premises where energy saving is required, both in cold climates with
heating economy or in warm weather, with freshness economy.
• Eliminating dampness: minimizes the appearance of mold and mildew on surfaces.
• Insulation and acoustic correction: for rooms, spaces where absorption is required
and acoustic attenuation, thanks to the incorporation of expanded volcanic rock and highdensity EPS beads.
*With application of Thermo-Roofing or Suber-Paint.
FOAMLEV
Thin Layer Insulation
• Thermal insulation and anti-condensation, preventing thermal exchange.
• Excellent adhesion to challenging surfaces like galvanized steel, thanks
to the adhesion promoter included in the formula.
• High coverage and easy application.
• Non-flammable.
• Ensure the surface is perfectly clean, free of dust, and completely dry. Sand polished
surfaces to open pores.
• Treat degraded surfaces (poorly adhered paint, mold, moss). For mold or moss, clean the
surface with water and bleach, then apply Fungilev fungicide.
• Repair defects with Thermal Mastic and use mortar for significant damage.
• Check the solidity and anchorage of the substrate with stability tests.
• Apply Suber-Fix on dusty or overly absorbent surfaces, allowing it to dry for 4–6 hours.
• Interior and exterior surfaces based on lime, cement, conventional bricks, mineral-based
surfaces, and painted surfaces in good condition.
• Typical construction substrates, previously primed, in good condition, and with strong
adhesion.
• Application temperature: 5 to 45°C.
• Avoid application during frost, direct sunlight, strong wind or rain.
• Clean tools with water immediately after use.
• 18 L bags.
• Color : White.
• Performance: 1 L/m² per mm thickness.
Recommended Thickness: 5 - 30 mm
• Mixing : Add 4L(±10%) of water to the 18 L product container. Mix well until fully
homogenized.
• Application : Apply two or more coats of FOAMLEV to achieve the recommended
minimum coverage using:
o Suberlev spray gun (8 mm diameter nozzle).
o Industrial peristaltic or screw machines.
o Alternatively, apply with a trowel or spatula.
• Drying Time : Allow each coat to dry for 8–12 hours (depending on thickness and
humidity).
• For exterior applications:
o Apply 1.2 L/m² of Thermo-Roofs Shield as a protective finish for roofs.
o Apply 0.6 L/m² of Suber-Paint for vertical surfaces.

CONDITIONS OF THE FLAT ROOFS
Flat roofs are the type of roofs in which water travels longer distances and slower speeds
as it flows towards the drainage system. Therefore, ensuring the watertightness of the
layers that make up them is essential for the proper functioning of the whole.
For their part, walkable roofs are a specific type of flat roofs, in which the last layers that
make up them provide the possibility of people being walked on, as well as collecting some
elements and equipment that can be placed on deck without damaging them.
The finishing materials of the roofs must ensure that physical or climatic actions are not
capable of damaging the layers composing the roofs with the ability to waterproof the whole.
In this way, the perfect state of the protective layers will guarantee the waterproofing and,
ultimately, the impermeability of the whole roof.
Among the most common materials for the protection of these are tiling, gravel, crushed
stone, landscaped roofs, etc.
REPORT ON THE SUBSTITUTION OF GRAVEL BY THE
APPLICATION OF SPRAYED NATURAL CORK ON FLAT
ROOFS
To ensure the waterproofing of roofs, Suberlev ditch with various products, among them,
polyurethane membrane (P.U.) is the most common in its use for its application and
capabilities.
The polyurethane membrane (P.U.) has a good durability to the weather and ensures
waterproofing of the cover during its whole useful life.
However, in order to improve the transitability of this, it is advisable to protect it by a
superior finishing material. Among these materials stands out the projected cork, which
in sufficient quantity is able to protect the polyurethane membrane and extend its
service life. The insulating capacity of this material is added, which brings great benefits
against cold and heat both for the interior of the building and for the materials located
under it by reducing the variation of temperatures.
The addition of gravel on the projected polyurethane + natural cork membrane system is
considered a risk, as it includes uncontrolled conditions that can worsen the conditions of
the roof assembly. These include the following:
Increase the roofs loads.
Increase in moisture on the outer face of the roof under the gravel, can greatly
shorten the durability of materials.
Direct damage of gravel to the waterproofing layers, both to natural cork projected
as a result of the polyurethane membrane, eliminating the impermeability of the
cover. Especially if the gravel is of crushing origin.
It is therefore not recommended to incorporate gravel into the waterproofing system without
the responsibility of an optional management that ensures this solution according to its
experience and under its professional and economic responsibility.
